About	Age-72 Jim Allen Jacobs was born in Homestead, Iowa and grew up on the family farm outside of Conroy, Iowa. He was actively involved in 4-H, as a member of the Hilton Happy Hustlers and took great pride in showing his Hereford cattle. After Jim graduated from Williamsburg High in 1970, he joined the National Guard and served when called upon. He continued to have a great love of the outdoors and his animals. He was particularly fond of his dogs-Australian Shepards and Border Collies. Jim's farming career covered decades and he was always a loyal "Conroy Guy". He was one of the main supporters of the Hilton Hall in Conroy and also served on the Board of Directors for the Heartland Co-op. His parents were Eugene and Lorena Jacobs and his surviving sister Jeanne was a member of the Burg Class of 1969. Jim passed at St. Luke's Unity Point in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, due to complications from influenza. Celebration of life was March 15, 2025 at the Hilton Hall in Conroy. Attendees were asked to wear plaid flannel shirts in memory of Jim. The simple life from a quality man, a caretaker of the earth and animals. We're glad you were our classmate Jim and we'll miss you.
