| About | Age-67 Steve was born at Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, son of Howard and Phyllis Hunzelman Frimml. He had a brother Dennis and sister Cynthia. While at WHS Steve was involved in glee club, concert band and football. An anchor in the Raider line, #78 consistently opened holes and defended his QB. After graduating from the Burg in 1970, he earned a Business degree from Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. Steve began his professional career at Farmer's Trust & Savings Bank in Williamsburg, remaining there for several years. He switched gears and went to the University of Iowa and earned a degree in Physical Therapy. In May of 1984, he was baptized by immersion into the Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he was an active member and an ordained elder. He sang in the church choir and was always ready to help anyone in need. In 1985, Steve married Jaymee Dale in Davenport, and adopted her son Richard Dale. Steve and his family moved that year to Idaho, Nampa area, and he worked as a physical therapist for the duration of his employment years. After a divorce in 2002, Steve and Jaymee remained best of friends while raising their son and spending time with grandchildren. He was an avid Boise St. Bronco's fan and attended games whenever he could-must have liked that Blue Turf football field !! Steve was a generous giving soul, known for his honesty and off-the-cuff dry sense of humor. Keep us smiling Steve-we miss you. |
