Age 73-Jim "Fuzzy" Weldon was born in Sigourney, number three of nine children and oldest of seven boys. Early education was in Holbrook and he graduated from Williamsburg HS, Burg, Iowa. Jim was a two-time team Captain for the Raider Wrestling team and a valued four year member of the Football program. Jim served in the Army after graduation and was stationed in Germany. January 20, 1973 he married Sandy Shannahan and they had three children-Aimee Weldon Pitlik, Allison Weldon Donovan and Andrew (Andy) Weldon. Jim worked in small business-drywalling and restaurant ownership. Jim and Sandy have nine grandchildren-two great grandchildren, who Jim "never said No" to! Jim's interests were loving his family, horses, fishing, outdoors and mischief. He was a quiet presence of strength and loyalty in our class-you could always depend on Jim. He passed in Iowa City from COPD complications. As we approach 55 years out after HS graduation, we miss you.
