Age-70 George was born February 28, 1952 in Marengo, Iowa to parents George and Kathryn McCallister. He grew up on the family farm and was educated in Williamsburg. In high school George was a floater-got along with everybody and fit in everywhere. Perty sure we all have our "George Stories". After high school you could find him in the Burg/Parnell area or somewhere in Texas. George owned the Sundown, then moved to Austin Texas, where he worked several years as a manager at IBM. He enjoyed the people and landscapes of both states and working at a variety of vocations. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. As life was drawing to a close, George enjoyed reading books to his granddaughters and playing cards with his neighbors.
He was blessed with two children-daughter Kati (Andy) Frederich's of Ft. Worth, TX and son Dustin of Georgetown, TX. George was a special guy in the Class of 1970, we miss you.
