About	Age-60 Rose Duffy was a character, no other way to describe her. The "Duff' or the "Duff Bomb" brought joy to our class on a daily basis. Rosie was adopted and raised by her grandparents in Parnell. Duff loved her Irish roots and remained loyal for her lifetime. She attended nursing school in California and then returned to Parnell. She had a son, Jared with husband Jerry Dhondt, later divorced. 1997 married Lars Lavender. Rosie worked at University of Iowa Hospitals for twenty plus years before retirement. She passed away from a heart attack at home in Parnell. St. Patrick's Day will always be watched over by our Irish Rose, we miss you. May 25, 2020 Submitted by classmate Jan Doschadis
