About	Joyce Ann Elliott, 50, of Roanoke, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2011, after a long courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born in Roanoke, daughter of the late Howard W. (Boots), and Bertie Kessler Elliott. Her beloved service dog, Darwin, also preceded her in death. Joyce was a graduate of Randolph Macons Womens College. She had a great love of music, arts and gardening. She was a church organist serving many churches in the Roanoke Valley. Her fondest and last church she served at was Trinity United Methodist Church. She is survived by her brother, Ronald S. (Buggs) Elliott and his wife, Betty, of Vinton, nephews, Michael Elliott and his wife, Jennifer, and Travis Elliott and his wife, Kristie; and great-niece and nephew; Carlie and Camden Elliott. Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at Sherwood Memorial Park. The Rev. William C. Logan will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 305 Mountain Ave., Roanoke, VA 24016. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 2, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakeys Vinton Chapel.
