Dennis L. Brown, 48, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2009. He was predeceased by his father, Chapman C. Brown. Mr. Brown was an employee of Carilion for 22 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church. He is survived by his mother, Frances L. Brown, of Roanoke; brothers, Calvin L. Brown and his wife, Bonnie, of Goodview, and Donald N. Brown and his wife, Sally, of Troutville; his special cat, Brandy; and a host of friends and relatives. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2009, at Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church. The Rev. Msgr. Joseph P. Lehman will officiate. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2009, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 540-982-2221.
