Donald S. Heintzelman
Class of 1956
I am 74,retired, and enjoy watching birds (especially hawks and eagles, waterfowl and especially swans),wildflowers, nature, photography, animals (wild and domestic), outdoors, books (I've written 22 that are published), visiting used book shops, listening to classical and folk music, parks, autumn leaves, visiting historic sites and building, New Hope-Lambertville, Bucks County, visiting estate gardens such as Longwood and Chanticleer, Old Fashioned Garden in Allentown, museums, watching movies and TV, picnics, visiting scenic rural areas, historic log cabins, etc.
I read the NY Times and a local newspaper daily and enjoy discussing current events and a wide range of other topics.
I have visited many parts of the world in the 1960s and 1970s working on wildlife projects including two visits to the Antarctic (and South Georgia and the Falkland Islands), numerous visists to South America (Amazonia, Peru, Ecudaor and the Galapagos Islands, Argentina), four trips to Trinidad and Tobago, St. Lucia, Martinique, East Africa, eastern Canada, and the eastern USA and California.
