I was in the Navy from 26 Apr 1980 through 16 Jul 1992.
Started as an E1 Fireman Recruit and finished as an E6 Machinist's Mate First Class. I was attached to RTC San Diego, SSC Great Lakes, USS Berkeley DDG-15, SIMA San Diego, USS New Orleans, LPH-11, Subase Pearl Harbor. On New Orleans I was there for Operation Desert Shield and then Operation Desert Storm.

I was in the Marines from 1971 thru 1977. I got to see the world, was given some great training, and best of all, was then able to use the GI Bill to pay for my engineering degree at the University of Cincinnati (class of 1982). I thank the US tax payers for giving me this opportunity.
