Coast Guard, 20+ Years
Joined tthe USCG shortly after graduation, after boot camp was selected for Radarman "A" school. After graduation from RDA school located at Govenors Is. New York, New York was ordered to the Coast Guard Cutter Staten Is. an icebreaker home ported in Seattle. While aboard I made three trips to Anarctia, and two cruises to the Arctic. I also served aboard the CGC Rush and Yocona, and at the CG lifeboat station at Depot Bay Or. other assignments included two years at the Rescue Coordination Center located in Honolulu, seveeral years of sea duty on cutters in Seattle and San Francisco, and my final assignment in Portland Oregon. A really fun and great career.
