Bill Ed Hudson

Class of 1962

He was buried non-ceremoniously in a Wichita cemetery. However, he needs to be noted. He committed suicide at the too young age of 50. He was a victim of war, Vietnam. I read the awards he was given, two silver stars, three bronze stars, at least one purple heart. To earn one Silver Star he was the last man off of Hamburger Hill, and he made certain every man was off the hill, dead, wounded whatever condition. He ran out of ammo and fought hand to hand to finish his task. I am a disabled vet but cannot imagine his will, his fighting ability. He was a man among men. I salute you my friend. FYI we double dated to graduation. He was my friend.
