About	Sylvia married Michael Ayers in 1960 and they raised three children. They divorced in 1972. Sylvia earned a degree in psychology from Southern Illinois University and moved with the children to Mass. She lived there and raised the kids. She worked for the State of Mass as a child abuse intervention specialist and helped many families and children. Throughout her life she was an avid swimmer. While attending WFSH, she was a member of the girls tennis team and the swimming team. She was a water safety instructor and certified SCUBA diver. She is grandmother to seven children.
