Named to senior Administration positions by three U.S. Presidents. Headed two Federal agencies. Nominated by President George Bush and confirmed by the U.S. Senate as Administrator for Africa at USAID. President/CEO of the United States African Development Foundation. Testified on Africa issues before Congress on multiple, approximately 15, times.
