Many of the graduates from 1972 first came to the school in 1970-1971 school year. It was the first forced busing school year. I consider that our class was like the movie “ Remember The Titans “ starring Denzel Washington. There was a lot of learning going on those years and it wasn’t all in the classroom. There were challenges to learn about differences, to open our hearts and minds to understand the God had created us to get along and live with one another. To love, respect and view life from a different set of eyes. I cherish those days. I thought that we as human beings would have been further along on this journey of unifying with each other but this year of 2020, with a pandemic, social unrest, financial uncertainty took us backwards. Let’s vow to improve our future by operating in a real loving manner towards our fellow man.
