Deborah Tarleton-Berry

Class of 1973

I am so sad I could not make it back to Wichita for our 45 anniversary event. So, I am making this declaration now, that every last one of you must hold on to make it in 5 years for our 50th! I am going to pledge a promise to go, but I need all of your prayers and good wishes in making it come true. It seems I find myself in the midst of needing a kidney transplant, so basically if anyone of you who reads this know of a spare kidney laying around anywhere, to let me know, because I have one health good mojo thing going on, in that I am AB+ blood type, and it just so happens that AB blood types can accept universal all blood type kidneys. Basically, I have an “all inclusive” body policy, “You got a kidney? Yes, I can use it!” Policy. That means either my kidneys or me, myself...I am EASY!!!! For respectability issues, let’s just assume its only my kidneys that are wild crazy party animals, and not me. (Granted I am still a fun time gal, just like jr. High and high school Debbie, but I am getting as old as dust now, and I have to sit through many many MANY HOURS of dialysis now just to have even a prayer of a chance to make it to our 50th. But I am keeping up hope regardless. I think I want to do a 50 year later speech, using the same theme as our high school graduation speech I gave, about how important it for us to always look for the happy. Obviously I still believe in that mandate, and I pray all of you do too!

Love and hugs from the San Diego neighboring town California where I live now, to all of you where ever life has led you. Big hugs, deb
