About	My mother taught in Whitman for about 25 years, in grades 3, 4, and 5. She was a Girl Scout leader, a Cub Scout leader, a member of the Whitman Conservation Commission, the Whitman Historic Commission, the Whitman Women's Garden Club, the Whitman Women's Club. She always had the Brockton Enterprise delivered to the house. She also had the Boston Globe delivered to the house. She had milk delivered to the house. She mowed her own lawn.
