Paul lived with his mother, aunt, and grandmother a few houses away from us on Linden Street. His mother was our second grade teacher, and his father had died in 1939 of pneumonia after having played ice hocky, as I recall.

I remember when his mother took Paul and me fishing in East Bridgewater.
