Sammie Joe Bray attended Whitley County High School in Williamsburg, KY.

Sammie Joe was my sister (twin) Carrie's only child. She was like a daughter to me, I had no children but raise 2 step-children.
Sammie Joe was murdered by her boyfriend, Timothy Siler, in a barn on Youngs Cem. Road in Corbin just down from Carrie's house, less than a mile.
As the story goes:
Sammie had gone to feed her horses when Timmy came from the loft and shot her point blank in the face with a 12 gage shotgun. He then turned the gun on himself.
Sammie had just turned 20 on April 21st and died 5 days later on April 26th. Carrie buried her on the 28th (her wedding anniversary) in Moores Cem. on Frankfort School Road next to dad.
I buried heart that day right along with Sammie Joe.
