My boyfriend Harold W Franco graduated from White Oak High School in 1991 Franco was also Roughneck #65, and has many proud memories. He suffered many hardships with his family, until his Mother kicked him out at the age of 14. Luckily there was a loving couple who took him in. Today they are still his proud parents whom they call son. From there he joined the Marine Corps, and has many schools, honors, and certificates under his belt. Franco also returned a few months ago from Alabama where he attended an OSHA School, and graduated. This past month, while doing his final physical after faithfully serving 20 years as a Marine, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. We are both still in much shock, and disbelief. He has surgery scheduled for August 4th to take out a big part of his colon. Then after he recuperates he will be started on aggressive chemotherapy. I wanted to share a little something of this man who is the love of my life, and do a little something for him so he knows how proud I am of him.
