Navy, 20+ Years

Served in communicatioins for 4 years, Seabees (Navy Construction Forces) 18 years. Served in Vietnam, Italy, Puerto Rico, Panama, Guam, and Washington, DC. Also served on the USS Dwight D Eisenhower (CVN69)

Class of 1980
Air Force, 20+ Years

Served from 1980 to 2002 (22 years) and retired as an E-8, SMSgt. Completed Fuels Specialist training and after four years as a Fuels Operator, retrained into Emergency Management.
Virginia Bell
Virginia Bell
Class of 1975
Air Force, 4 Years

Mental Health Unit Specialist and Medical technician. Virginia was student councel president in 1975, member of the beta club, FHA and yearbook staff. She went on to Albany State College with a major in Psychology. She joined the Air Force in April 1981 and served until April 1985. She now resides in the Atlanta area and works as a substance abuse counselor.

Our Wheeler County High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Wheeler County High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
