Enlisted (E1;SR) in 1965 as a HS Jr. EOS'd in 1071, went through Colo. Mines (BS Eng. Physics 1976), Reenlisted as a CTT1 (E6) in 1977; commissioned a LTjg (O2) in 1980, promoted to CAPT (O6) in 1999, forced retirement at 62 in 2010.

Marine Corps, 9 Years
Joined righ out of high school in 2001 shortly before September 11. Went to boot camp and shortly after reported to 2D Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion in Camp Lejeune NC where I deployed 3 times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Fit was in 2003 in the invasion where I was in the battle of An Nasiriyah and was a direct part in the rescue of Jessica Lynch. Shortly after followed a deployment in 2004 that bled over to 2005 where I was involved in the Fallujah battle and Najaf. I returned just to go back in 2005 for a 3rd Deployment where not a hole lot happened. I then went on to teach as an instructor at the School Of Infantry in Camp Pendleton CA. While there I attended a Master Gunner Course graduating as the Honor Graduate from the Army's hardest academic school for enlisted. I left there to become a company master gunner for a reserve unit in Maryland and from there I deployed to Afghanistan. After my return I changed duty stations back to the Fleet Marine Force and now am currently located in Camp Pendleton CA.
