James Joseph Looney III, 83, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015, in Rochester, NY. He was born on October 23,1931 in Hartford, CT, son of the late James Joseph Looney II.
James, a loving husband and father, is survived by his wife Claudette (Daigle) of 57 years; sons Mark (Laurie), Kevin (Elizabeth), and daughter Janice (Steve Ash); grandchildren Caitlin (Andrew), Kelly (Jesus), Sean, David, Erin, Shannon, Alyssa, Darrius and Carmen and brother Donald Looney.
Jim was a graduate of the University of Connecticut and served in the Army during the Korean War, and was stationed in Japan. He was a Quality Manager for over 30 years, including Xerox, Burroughs and Alkron Manufacturing. Jim was a Committee Chairman for Boy Scout Troop 262 and longtime member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed travel and spending time with his family and friends.
