Fake Lockdown

Class of 2024

It was 2024, probably a couple months until graduation, and there was a lockdown during lunch. I was a bit confused because they never do that but I thought they were just figuring stuff could happen at any point so they were just testing it out. I figured we'd be out soon and I left all my stuff outside.

We ended up waiting like an hour in lockdown, and I was with friends in Mrs. Rea's room down (though I think she wasn't actually there) by like... 120 or something like that? Slowly, we were getting anxious and my friends are anxiously texting and shit. At some point we start speculating that it was an accident, albeit super fucked up.

At some point, the door opens unexpectedly, our heart drops. Thankfully, it was just the police checking on us, and they ask if we need anything.

Afterwards, the lockdown is over but we still have to stay inside the classrooms. Eventually, the school says they'll have an emergency early dismissal. While having nothing to do, we also scribble on the board.

I'm really glad it wasn't our school getting shot up, but the fact that this happened a second time also was a bit fucked up. We got all freaked out for nothing. This is such a weird and scary memory but at least I got a fun time with friends, new and old out of it.
