| About Me | He attended Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York majoring in Business and graduated in 1975. He began work at McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) in St. Louis, MO as a computer programming analyst and fixed assets accountant for 14 years. He was let go due to defense cutbacks and began working part-time in various roles as GED instructor to deaf adults, substitute teacher for deaf and hard of hearing students in a special education program, and American Sign Language instructor in a continuing education program for 10 years. Currently, he is a Community Work Incentive Coordinator (known as Social Security and State of Missouri Benefits Specialist) with Paraquad, a center for independent living center in St. Louis, MO for 6 1/2 years. He has been married for 36 years and has three children and 2 grandchildren. He has been involved in various deaf organizations. He volunteered at a deaf-blind camp outside Seattle, WA a few times and will continue in the future. He currently sits in the Missouri Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing as a Vice Chair. He is reviewing his study to become Certified Deaf Interpreter to work in the courts and various medical facilities serving the deaf and hard of hearing individuals....(read more) |
