About	Resident of Danville. Steve Powell was a fun-loving, party-throwing, strong, loud, kind man. He spent his early years as a football star. He received a full ride football scholarship to San Jose State University where repeated concussions led to the end of his football career. Steve joined the Police Academy, which was his calling. In no time, he was receiving commendations for his excellent service. Shortly after joining the force, he married his high school sweetheart, the love of his life, Christine (Noero) Powell, and upon starting their family, Steve left the force to have more time to dedicate to his girls. No career ever captured his heart the way police work did, but as father to Jennifer Powell, Stacey Hummell, and Annie Powell, Father-in-Law to Zach Hummell, and grandfather to Ava Crouse, Micah Tannenbaum, and Kaia Hummell, his heart was full.
