About Me	Upon graduation, I went into the Marine Corps. I Served for 4 years and did a combat tour during Desert Shield/Storm. Returned to Illinois in 1992 worked odd jobs and started school. In 1993 worked for Dept of Defense as a Police Officer at Great Lakes Naval Base. I Started my career in management in 1995 in restaurant business. Did that for about 10 years and moved to manufacturing and operations management for about 4 years. During this time I completed two additional military tours in the Army Reserve. Eventually, I would end up losing my position in operations management and at that point I decided to re-enter military service in the Army National Guard in Aug of 2007. Once I re-entered military service I was accepted into the Army National Guard Officer Candidate School. I received my commission in Aug of 2009. I completed my qualification course as a Transportation Officer in March of 2010 and now I am currently deployed in Egypt until May of 2011. I was married to my lovely wife, Tamela, back in 1991 in Hawaii. We have four wonderful kids ages 18, 11, 8, and 4. My oldest son is in his first year of college. Once I return home in 2011, the family and I will take a vacation to Disney World. My military status will change from active duty to reserve duty and I will be available to re-enter the marketplace. I have a couple employers in mind. However, I will more than likely switch to permanent active duty once I return home. The downside is it will almost guarantee me another deployment in a short amount of time. In any event, I love the military and what it stands for.
