| About Me | I set out as my driving ambition to play field hockey in the Olympics. I played on the National team for about 8 years, lived at the Olympic Training center for several years, overseas playing for club teams for a few years, etc. I was all set for 1996 (we didn't qualify for 1992) but in '95 had injury which cut that short. Finished up my degree in '96 and launched my first business (with a partner who was a successful real estate investor we built up an investing and educational company helping people invest in residential real estate. Wrote several books on the subject (one even slipped onto the Wall Street Journal best seller list for a few weeks) and then sold the business several years ago to my partner. I met my wife Heather about 10 years ago (personal ad in San DIego reader if you can believe it... pre-internet dating). We dated for about 5 years and got married. We currently live part of the year in Jackson Hole WY and part of the year in CHarlottesville VA. Heather's without doubt the biggest gift in my life post high school. We have our moments, but she's a great friend and life partner.
