Hello WHS Alums!
Wendy Shiba WHS 68’ is the latest inductee into our Alumni Hall of Fame. Wendy was a standout academic, Panorama yearbook 67-68 editor and a driving force in the creation of Westlake High’s Demonette’s. She then has gone on to an exceptional legal career and advocate for women in all walks of life. In addition to the induction program, we are hosting a reception at LaCentre on the same day from 4pm to 6pm. No cost, cash bar, snacks. You are welcome of course to stay for the Social at 6pm and the dinner at 6:45pm. I can share from past experience the induction is very enjoyable with several of our educators from back in the day in attendance as well. Like our previous reunions, the receptions are always well attended and fun to meet and greet again, so if just to see other alums from our era, as well as say hello to Wendy, please join us!
Attached is a flyer for the dinner reservation if you are interested. However, if just the 4pm reception is of interest you are most welcome. Maybe you were on the Panorama staff, a Demonette, or if you did not know Wendy well, get a chance to meet again this exceptional WHS alum as well as many others as well. Also attached is an application to the WHS Alumni Association, these dedicated alums sponsor scholarships, are developing an interactive data base of alums, assist with reunions, hold an annual Guardians outing and much much more. Be sure to get on this mailing list for other WHS alum events.
