4th Annual Patriotic Alumni Band Spectacular

Westlake High School Music Boosters is looking for alumni who are still proficient on their instruments and are interested in participating in this great event that honors our local veterans. A concert band and jazz ensemble will be featured. Rehearsal dates are: June 16, 21, 23 and 28; band from 6:30-8:00 and jazz from 8:10-9:15 with refreshments served in between. The performance is on Thursday June 30 at 7:00. All will take place in the PAC at WHS. First-timers would be required to order a shirt ($12). 1940 Class Reunion

The 1940 graduating class of Dover High School (now Westlake )
celebrated their 70th anniversary with lunch at Athena's in Avon Lake.
Those attending were Jim Linden, Eydie Kaase, Marie Salemi Reitz, Dorothy
Wulf Boster, Helen Leonard Osterman, Dorothy Heitmeyer Mattern and Dr.
Paul Kaase. Jim and Helen started together in first grade.

The Westlake Alumni Association has commissioned Harris Publishing to produce the 3rd Edition of the Dover/Westlake High School Alumni Directory. If you have not yet been contacted to update or add your listing to the book, you can do so by calling 866-359-6606 TODAY. The last day to make updates is Monday, March 2, 2009, so don't delay! There is no charge to be listed and you can purchase a bound edition of the directory if you desire. Contact me here or at del@trunorth.biz if you have questions.

We've got great plans for the Westlake Alumni Association in 2009. We'll keep you posted as things progress.
