Flight Engineer for the 507th Med Co. (AA) Ft Sam Houston in San Antonio Texas. I flew DUSTOFF before and during Desert Storm. We supported the state of Texas with the MAST Program, Military Assistance for Safety and Traffic. We were the helicopter unit that pulled 26 kids from the Guadalupe river in South West Texas in 1987, we were also featured on William Shatners first airing show 911 in 1989. In Desert Storm we pulled all four flight platoons together in our units history to make up one of the largest Medivac Company's in world history during wartime. We flew for the 1st Infantry Division, the 2nd Armored Calvary Regiment, and the British 3rd Armored Division swinging from the Neutral Zone to Iraq then back down into Kuwait. My wife Lori was with the 209th Clearing Company from Iowa City Iowa. We were engaged to be married before we left, and a one in a million thing happened, we were based camped 200 yards apart during the war. The Lingelbach website was created to reach other researchers of this family. William Lingelbach married my grandfather Charles Moessner sister Amelia Moessner Sep 6, 1905 in South Haven, Mich. They resided in Waterloo. Iowa all his life. He operated a pioneer tailor shop as the Glass and Lingelbach shop for many years. Have many pictures and history of both families. William Lingelbach was in the Spanish American War and have medals and books he received as a member of the 49th Iowa Volunteer Regiment.

We have provided documentation when available, although some of the comments by researchers are family stories, bible entries, and related newspapers articles. We welcome your comments and any suggestions or corrections. You can e-mail me atGranger339@aol.com

The website should be a picture of how this Waterloo, Iowa resident lived and fought for his country.
