July 31, 2008 Warren Z. Waxenfeld, 57, of Syracuse, died Thursday, July 31, 2008, at Community Hospital. Warren was a financial advisor and assistant agency manager for AXA Equitable for over 20 years. He graduated from Cortland State, earned his master's in education from Syracuse University and taught history in area schools for 13 years. Warren was a member of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, NAIFA, SAIFA and achieved the Hallmark I Award and the Hall of Fame Medal. Warren loved his family and friends. He was an avid tennis player, Mets fan and music lover. Survived by his wife, Debbi Waxenfeld; stepsons, Thomas and Brandon Weimer; mother, Charlotte Waxenfeld; sister, Joy Waxenfeld; niece, Marissa Waxenfeld; and his five beloved cats, Angie, Tito, Ebony, Zorro, and Butter-scotch. Services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Sunday, August 3, 2008, at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, 1909 E. Fayette St. Friends may visit with the family Sunday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the chapel.
