Eriq Anthony Zavaleta, born August 2, 1992, in Mesa, Arizona, is a professional footballer who is a notable alumnus of Westfield High School in Westfield, Indiana. He is known for his successful career in Major League Soccer (MLS), currently playing as a defender and center-back for LA Galaxy. He also holds a significant international career, representing the El Salvador national team since 2021.

Zavaleta's high school soccer career at Westfield High School was marked by impressive scores as he netted 25 goals and nine assists as a freshman and 20 goals and 10 assists as a senior. His youth career also extended to clubs like FC Pride, Real Salt Lake, Chivas USA, and the Columbus Crew's USL Super-20 championship team in 2011.

His college years were spent playing soccer at Indiana University where he achieved significant recognitions like College Soccer News All-Freshman first team, NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region first team selection, Soccer America All-Freshman first team, and Chicagoland Soccer News Player of the Year.

In his professional career, Zavaleta has played for various teams in the MLS. He started his senior career with Seattle Sounders FC (2013–2014), and had brief stints with San Antonio Scorpions (2013) and Chivas USA (2014), both on loan. His most extended senior career was with Toronto FC (2015–2021) where he completed 118 appearances and scored 2 goals, along with a couple of loan appearances for Toronto FC II.

By 2023, he had made 10 appearances for LA Galaxy. His international career also includes 23 caps for the United States U17 team from 2008–2009, and by mid-2023, he had 25 caps with 3 goals for the El Salvador national team.
