About Me	In 2005, without realizing, I retired from my real estate business in Mariposa County, CA, sold my properties and moved back into the home I grew up in to take care of my aged, ailing mother (who passed away the following year). My lady friend, who had just spent the previous year living with and caring for my mother, and I stayed on in my parents' house for another five years cleaning, painting, patching, repairing upgrading and performing maintenance neglected for the fifty years my parents lived there, becasue Dad preferred to work in his shop and travel the country with his friends playing his fiddle, which he did until he entered his eighties. In 2008, I bought a house in Apple Valley, In 2010, we rushed right up here and moved into it. Needing a project to keep me busy, in 2012 I bought a HUD home across the street and spent the next 3 1/2 years renovating and remodeling the place to get it prepared for resale. In 2012, also, my lady friend began exhibiting signs of dementia developing, which rapidly digressed to the point where today her comprehension level is quite low. Now, our daily routine is governed by the bowels and bladder brigade, doing laundry and kitchen patrol, shopping for a couple of hours every two weeks when I can get a sitter, and keeping involved in projects scattered all over this property.
