What is Mitchell Gornto known for?

Mitchell Alan Gornto, also known as "Big Meetch", is an American artistic gymnast born on February 25, 1997, in Montgomery, Ohio. He later relocated to Burlington, North Carolina and now resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Gornto has had a notable career in men's artistic gymnastics, representing the United States at various levels of competition. He pursued his college career as a part of the gymnastics team at the University of Michigan. As a student-athlete, his dedication and skills were honed under the guidance of head coach Kurt Golder at the High Point Gymnastic Center.

Mitchell has received numerous accolades in his gymnastics career. At the Pacific Rim Championships in 2014 in Richmond, he bagged medals in the team event, vault, and floor exercises. His success story continued in the USA Gymnastics National Championships, where in 2012 and 2013, he earned medals across various categories including the pommel horse, floor, all-around (AA), rings, and high bar.
