| About Me | I currently live in Henderson Nevada with my wife and two Siberian Huskies, Ms. Duchess and Montana. I work in Vegas as a Commercial Real Estate broker, selling Apartment Complexes. My hobbies include riding my 2005 Harley Ultra Classic. My favorite past time is to ride cross country and see this beautiful country. I will spend days and days riding from state to state. The time I spend on the motorcycle is when I am most at peace. After High School my life started when I entered the U.S. Air Force in April of 1988. My first job in the military was as a Tail Gunner on the B-52 G. That was one of the Air Forces heavy bombers. I spent four years as a crew dog flying and sitting alert ready to bomb the Russians back to the Stone Age at a moments notice. During that assignment, I was deployed all over the world to include Operations: Desert Shield and Desert Storm. In 1992, the Air Force decided I need to find a new job because they retired the G- model (B-52). I moved into the rescue world as a Helicopter Flight Engineer on the Search and Rescue helicopters. My primary aircraft was the UH-1N Twin Huey. I truly enjoyed flying around Washington State finding lost hikers and injured mountain climbers. Our main job was working with the Air Force Survival School located at Fairchild AFB near Spokane WA. I would spend a week at a time in the forest near the Canadian border on standby for any rescues or medical evacuations that would be necessary. We would fly day or night, good weather or bad. That sure was the good life. But alas, all good things must end and in August of 1996 my wife and I were sent to Yokota Airbase (AB), Japan. The Mission was VIP transport. I really did not like all the pomp and circumstance, but I was able to fly some really big names. My wife and I ultimately were stationed in Albuquerque, NM where I was a flight instructor until we left the service in January of 2000. After my time in the Air Force, I worked for Lockheed Martin as a helicopter simulator and academic instructor. This allowed me to finish my bachelors degree with Southern Illinois University (SIU). I completed a BS degree in Workforce Education and Development in May of 2001. For the last five years, I have been working in the Real Estate business. My wife has just completed her doctorate which is allowing me to return to school for my ma...(read more) |
