| About Me | I Graduated from WSU in 1973 in mechanical engineering and my first job was at GE’s Nuclear Energy division in San Jose. I then moved into the aerospace propulsion business in 1978 and spent the next 38 years there, mostly in solid propellant rocket motors. 32 of these years were at Thiokol (later known by many other company names) in northern Utah. I worked on many programs that included the Space Shuttle and also was the Chief Engineer for first stage propulsion on the largest vehicle to fly since the Apollo moon missions. I then spent 6 years at Thiokol’s main competitor, Aerojet Rocketdyne in Sacramento, again in solid rocket motors. I retired from there in 2016. I met my wife in San Jose and we raised our 4 kids in Utah, and now also have 7 grandkids there as well. So after retiring we moved back to northern Utah.
