Sherrill is a professional American basketball player who currently plays for APU Udine in the Italian Serie A2 League. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated his flexibility and skill by playing both as a point guard and a shooting guard.

Sherrill started his professional basketball journey after college in 2017. Although undrafted in the NBA, he was undeterred and began his professional playing career with New Heroes Den Bosch, a team in the Dutch Basketball League. Not only was he their new signee, but he also made remarkable contributions by scoring a season-high 31 points in an 82–93 win over Apollo Amsterdam in 2018. During his first season with Den Bosch, he averaged 16.4 points and 3.6 assists in 30.7 minutes per game, earning him a re-signing for a second season with the team.

Later, in 2019, Sherrill joined Yalova Belediye in the Turkish Basketball First League. His performance continued to impress as he averaged 21.7 points, 4.1 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game while playing for Kocaeli BB Kağıtspor in 2020. In August 2021, he signed with TED Ankara Kolejliler before finally moving to his current team, APU Udine, in 2022.
