Samuel Burlum
Class of 1996
After Samuel Burlum graduated West Milford High School in 1996, he went on to attend Berkeley College, where he majored in Business Management and minored in Entreprenuership. He graduated from Berkeley College in 1998 with an AA in Business Management. During his term at Berkeley, Burlum was voted in as the President of the Delta Epsilon Chi (DEX) Student Orginization and held that post for two years. While attending the National DEX Conference in 1997, Burlum was nominated and voted in as NJ State DEX President. Burlum served in that post for both the 1997 and 1998 year. Burlum was Berkeley College's first DEX State Officer, and the first person ever to hold back to back terms in the NJ State DEX Presidency post.

Burlum continued to own and operate his landscaping and construction firm, Extreme Scapes Landscape Contractors Inc., that he founded in 1992, which still operates today. Burlum returned to the local and regional Dirt Track Racing circiut that he was a part of before becoming college bound. He played a role as a team/car sponsor, pit crew, event sponsor, car/team owner, and ended up back in the driver's seat to steer the wheel of the #92 street stock race car at the Orange County Fair Speedway, in Middletown, NY. Samuel Burlum assisted with the very first Girl Scout Pinewood Derby, held in Oak Ridge, NJ in spring of 2009 (article in Advertiser News South April 10, 2008, headline, "Girl and Dad Pinewood Derby").
Samuel Burlum help founded Extreme Energy Solutions in 2008; a company that researches and develops, manufactures, distributes, and installs fuel economy and emissions equipment. Extreme Energy Solutions merged with Eco-Green Inc. in late of 2010. Mr. Burlum was then voted in as CEO/President the new company Extreme Energy Solutions Inc. Under Burlum's leadership, Extreme Energy Solutions equipment became the first aftermarket equipment to be permissable for usage as an aftermarket retrofit for emissions controls, by the New York City Taxi & Limo Commission. Currently, Mr. Burlum is working with legislators from both New Jersey and New York, to help these states meet multiple objectives, including emissions reduction programs, lessening fuel consumption, while creating much needed jobs in the United States. Mr. Burlum instituted company policy that all of Extreme Energy Solutions products be made in the USA. Extreme Energy Solutions product lines of Extreme Xtra Fuel Treatments are made in Sussex County, NJ; Extreme Kleaner is manufactured in Paterson, NJ; Nu-Path Logic Software is built in Newark, NJ; and the InterCharger is made in Washington State. Burlum plans for the manufacturing of the InterCharger to be moved to both New York and New Jersey to better accomindate the demand of the product.

Extreme Energy Solutions was nominated for several awards as respected members of the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce, including the Sussex County Economic Development nomination for New Business Award, Economic Innovation Award, and Enviromental Leadership Award. Extreme Energy Solutions can be found in some local retailers as well as their website www.extremeenergysolutions.net. Samuel Burlum has lead Extreme Energy Solutions to be a leader in enviromental mitigation, with the its product and service line for multiple industries and uses. More articles of Mr. Burlum's achievements can be found in the New Jersey Herald Newspaper; headline reads, "Energy Company Seeks Workers for Development of New Device". Mr. Burlum has not only reached out in the business community, but has also become a local enviormental leader. In 2010 he and his company helped re-open the Ogdensburg Recycling Center (see article in past Advertiser News South Paper in August 2010, article headline, "Local Business Man Donates Funds to Reopen Recycling Center") Samuel Burlum is in the process of preparing Extreme Energy Solutions to become a publicly traded company, and hopes that extreme Energy Solutions achieves this goal in the 2011 calender year. Mr Burlum is a respected member of the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce, Sussex County Economic Development Partnership, NJ Better Business Bureau Accredited Business, an Independent Business Owner Group (ISBOG) member, as well as an HHO-Hydrogen expert (See www.HHOInfomation.com), and a recognized fuel economy expert by the United States Federal Court (sworn in expert witness in the case of FTC vrs. Dutchman Enterprises LLC.) Samuel Burlum still operates some business in his hometown of West Milford, NJ, and currenly resides in Ogdensburg, NJ; the same town in which is the headquarters of Extreme Energy Solutions.
