About Me	I was a secretary at Washington Middle School until I completed the university. I did my student teaching at Griegos ES and was immediately hired as a first grade bilingual teacher. It was always my dream to teach someday at the elementary school which I attended for the APS school system . My dream came true in the fall of 1988, I accepted a first grade position and did that for 2 years and then went on to teach Kindergarten for the remainder of my 28 teaching years. What a blessing to teach where I attended school and my parents to this very day still live across the street from Lavaland Elementary, my alma mater. Our grandchildren now have all attended Lavaland and love to have grandma substitue teach in their classrooms. Our two daughters have gone on to follow in their mother's footsteps and whom I'm so proud of to substitute in their own classrooms. Melanie is a high school English/Spanish teacher for APS and Nicole is a 3rd grade Elementary School Bilingual teacher. My husband Jeff and I love to travel and spend time with our grandchildren.
