Ever since the 7th grade—when you showed up at my doorstep to ask me out and I said 'no'—our lives were intertwined. Decades later, in 2019, it was my turn to ask, and before we knew it, we were looking at rocking chairs. Even with the miles between us while you were assisting your mom, you were always right there. I forever miss our long talks, your silly jokes, your fierce protectiveness, and your all-too-short visits. Most of all, I miss holding hands. I know you’re having a party up there, making everyone laugh.
