About Richard "Ric" Hermanson
1954 ~ 2012
Richard "Ric" Scott Hermanson left this earth on February 10, 2012 to join loved ones in Heaven. Ric was born March 12, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the son of William and Doris Hermanson, and beloved brother to Randy Hermanson and Charri Brummer.
Ric grew up in Rosepark, UT where he had many adventures as a young boy and attended West High School. He often reminisced about fond memories of his friends and neighbors where he grew up. He joined the U.S. Army out of high school and married his high school sweetheart. They had a beautiful daughter, Crystal Hermanson Anderson, and handsome son, Josh Anderson. They later divorced.
Ric loved his children with all his heart. He was very proud of them and the adults they grew to be. There was not a day that went by that he didn't talk about his children and his desire for them to live happy, fulfilled lives. His last wish was that they know how much he truly loved them and that he thought of them daily. He loved his niece and nephews as well.
Ric was an accomplished contractor with incredible building skills and truly masterful abilities. More importantly than his profession was his desire to help other people. He donated money to friends, family, and numerous charities even when he didn't have enough for himself. He helped strangers off the street, took food to the homeless, and provided a listening ear to those going through difficulty and strife. Despite challenges he experienced in his own life, he continued to fulfill his goal of helping others.
He enjoyed golfing, tennis, and fishing the Provo River. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a laugh that could make anyone smile.
Ric was preceded in death by his mother, father, and two infant sons. He is survived by his brother, sister, daughter, son, brother-in-law, two nephews and a niece. He will be missed. He is at peace now, playin' golf and gone fishin'.
At Ric's request, no services will be held. Instead, please make donations in his name to a charity that helps women, children, and families.
