About | Jeneal Ann (Jenny) Paxton Hansen 1953 ~ 2005 After a 20-year courageous battle with fourth-stage ovarian cancer, our dear, sweet, precious Jenny returned to the arms of her Heavenly Father at the age of 52 on September 15, 2005. Jenny was born September 1, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Norman Irl and Bettie Lou Paxton. Jenny was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1972 and went on to work at E-Systems and Com-tel. She quit electronics to follow her dream to work with animals. She became a pet groomer and worked at Fashion 'Elle Pet Salon for seven years and loved every minute of it until she became too ill to continue. Jenny had a generous and loving nature when it came to animals and leaves behind three dearly loved pets: Colby, Hannah and Marble. Jenny also had many on-line friends who were cancer survivors. They will miss her emails, her sense of humor, and her compassion and concern for their struggles with cancer, as well. Jenny loved her home, doing yard work, taking care of her pets and feeding countless wild birds. She also loved putting together picture collages of her family and friends. Jenny is survived by her loving and devoted father, Norman Paxton, who has been her caretaker, comforter, and best friend all these years. She is also survived by her mother, Bettie Paxton, her two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynn and Sandy Faucett and Pam and Chuck Gaines. She will also be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews, Heather (Kevin) Mentaberry, Carmen (Bracken) Davis, Dylan (Tina) Faucett, Robert Gaines, Rachel Gaines, Bretton Faucett, Kevin Faucett and her great nieces, Mazy Mentaberry, Ava Mentaberry, and Madison Faucett. She leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins who were very dear to her heart. Many thanks to her dear friend Pauline Terry for her love and companionship to Jenny and to all of Jenny's doctors and their staff for 20 years of caring, professional service. A viewing will be held under the direction of Memorial Estates on 6500 S. Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, Utah, from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, September 18th. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 19th, also at Memorial Estates on Redwood Road. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
