About	Dan died Feb 7, 2018 in El Dorado Springs, MO as a result of a recently-discovered heart defect (after VA doctors dawdled for months over whether to install a pacemaker). He was preceded in death by his wife Cheryl, (who ironically also died from a heart defect around 1999), and mother Lonnie in 2015. He is survived by his son Waylon, stepdaughter Kathy, stepsons Jonathan and Phillip, 11 grandkids, father Jack, and brothers Larry and James, as well as his very loyal, distraught dog, Jethro. Dan's ashes will be interred at both his wife's grave in MO, and his mother's grave in CO. A memorial service is planned in early June at the CO location. Dan, you ornery butthead, you left us way too soon.
