What is Josh Bush known for?

Josh Bush, born on March 5, 1989, in Burlington, North Carolina, is a noted American football personality known for his position as a free safety. A proud alumnus of West Davidson High School in Lexington, North Carolina, Bush's remarkable skills shone both on and off the field. As a senior, he intercepted six passes, affirming his role as The 2006 Dispatch All-County Defensive Player of the Year. Not to mention, his prowess wasn't limited to football; he was also an all-conference baseball player in his junior year.

He pursued his college education at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he played college football. Despite seeing limited action as a redshirt freshman, he eventually established his prowess, leading the Demon Deacons with six interceptions and earning a place in the first-team all-Atlantic Coast Conference. His astounding interception ended Russell Wilson's NCAA record of 379 passes without an interception. His senior year saw his recognition as a third-team All-American selection.

His professional journey began when he was drafted by the New York Jets in the 6th round of the 2012 NFL draft. His career with the Jets lasted until 2014, before he was signed to the Denver Broncos' practice squad. His stint with the Broncos was marked by an interception against the Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr in a 47-14 win to end the regular season. Bush was also a part of the iconic Super Bowl 50 champion team with the Denver Broncos in 2015. He briefly played for the Buffalo Bills the same year.
