Brandon Lee Wilkins, age 19, a resident of 2480 Wilmar Road, Vanceboro, NC died Thursday July 30, 2009. A graveside service was held 2:00 PM Sunday August 2, 2009 at Oakdale Cemetery.
Brandon was born in Beaufort County on April 3, 1990, son of Stuart Ray Wilkins & Sheri Lynne Henson. He attended West Craven High School. Brandon was a waiter at Ham's Restaurant (now Carolina Grill) in New Bern.
He is survived by his mother: Sheri Lynne Heath & her husband, Carlton Gene Heath of Vanceboro; his father: Stuart Ray Wilkins & his wife, Brandy Lynn Wilkins of Fayetteville; his half brother: Kadin Ray Wilkins of Fayetteville; his step brother: Dallas Austin Durrance of Fayetteville and his paternal grandparents: Harold and Grace Wilkins of Fayetteville.

Lee & I were both quite outspoken, and butted heads the first time we met. However, as I got to know him, I realized he was a truly amazing individual. He always spoke his mind & wouldn't change for anybody despite the pressures he went through during school. He was kind, honest, and full of life. Lee was so much fun to be around - time spent with him was never boring! He leaves behind a legacy of living life to the fullest, loving like you've never been hurt, & staying loyal to family, friends, & self. He taught me more than I realized, & I still miss him dearly. Brandon Lee Wilkins, may you continue to rest in peace.
