The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!..." Grew up on the water...spent summers on a "rustic" little island ("Fisherman's Island") off the S. shore of L.I.; no running water or electricity. (That's right: an outhouse, hauling water, reading by a Coleman lantern). Factoids: At 16, hitched from NY to Ft. Myers, FL, hopped on a shrimp boat and spent the summer off the coast of Spanish Honduras...got back one day before school started for my Sr. year... and, yes, there are some great stories here! Then: Service, college, marriage/kids,work.
