Favorite School Memory	I enjoyed playing in the band and performing in the concerts under the baton of Mr. Henry Canitz.
About Me	I spent one year of college at Stevens Point and then transferred to the University of Nebraska, where I graduated with a degree in agriculture in 1969. I then joined the Peace Corps and served as a volunteer on a poultry breeding project in India. In 1972 I returned to the US as a graduate student at the University of Illinois, and in 1975 I received a Masters Degree in Agricultural Economics with a specialization in international development. After graduate school I went to work for the US Agency for International Development, where I spent my entire professional career. As a Foreign Service Officer, I lived and worked in Pakistan, Paraguay, El Salvador, the Philippines, the Washington D.C. area, Ecuador, Egypt, and Honduras, where I retired in 1999. While in the Philippines I adopted a son, who now has a family of his own. During my career I managed various economic assistance projects intended to improve policies and raise the agricultural production and incomes of small farmers in the countries where I worked.
