About	Silas "Si" Cooley Obituary Weddington, NC Silas Marion Cooley, 34, of Weddington, NC, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, September 3, 2020. He passed peacefully at home, having battled health issues for several years. Silas “Si” was born in 1986 to Neil and Dale (Burroughs) Cooley in Raleigh, NC. The family moved to Weddington in 1989, where Si developed a robust group of lifelong friends. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Wealth Management and Masters in Business Administration from Campbell University, Si worked as an investment advisor at multinational and boutique financial institutions. Si had a deep love for books and music, and was quick to draw on his knowledge of science, arts and cultural references to share random facts, explain complex concepts, dominate trivia games or tell a factual, if not-so-funny, joke or pun. Si is survived by his parents, Neil and Dale (Burroughs) Cooley, his sister, Farrah Baird and husband Charlie; their daughters, Annabelle and Emmeline; his brother, Neil Cooley, Jr. and an amazing group of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Rogers Cemetery (US-401, McColl, SC 29570). In light of South Carolina’s Covid-19 guidelines, mask and social distancing is required. The family respectfully thanks you in advance for your consideration.
