Burt served in US Navy and when he was discharged in California he lived there for years until he became unhealthy. He was licensed plumber. Burt move to St Louis a few years before his passing and lived at the Veterans Home in North County until his passing. He has one daughter and two grandchildren. Many classmates attended his service.
