We suddenly and unexpectedly lost my children's father, my former husband and dear friend, Tom McMichael.
He worked as a registered nurse until his recent retirement.
His friends describe him as kind and funny.
He will be remembered by his children as the best dad ever.
My son said it best in his eulogy for his father. "What would I have said to my Dad if I had known we were going to lose him? Thank you!".

Tom was our neighbor on Pine Tree Lane. I remember he had one leg shorter than the other. I remember when he was a baby seeing him in a body cast after another operation to try to straighten his leg. We all loved Tom, and watched out for him. We called him Little Tom, because I was older, and I was Big Tom. He never let his handicap slow him down, and we never let it keep him from playing with us. I used to lie on my back, put my foot on his stomach, grab his hands, and flip him in the air. He would arch his back and land perfectly on his one good leg. I also remember him hopping on one leg on the high dive at Webster pool, and dong a perfect dive, what an athlete! I will never forget my friend and neighbor.
